| Q: |
How much do the spaces cost
per month? |
| |
|
| A: |
The rental cost per month
depends on the location of the space itself and a variety of other
factors such as how secure the environment is, the size of
the space and its location for example. A representative from City
Centre Parking will visit each space to make an estimate of its fair
rental value and agree on a monthly rental value with the space owner. |

|
| Q: |
How secure will my car be? |
| |
|
| A: |
This will depend on the
location of the space itself as some buildings incorporate more security
features than others. The listing details for advertised spaces will
provide further information on this for you. For extra information on
keeping your car secure and general safety tips please see the "Security
Tips" link above. |

|
| Q: |
What fees are payable? |
| |
|
| A: |
If you have a space to rent:
It is free to advertise your space as available for rent with City Centre
Parking. A percentage of the monthly rental payment received from the
space user is retained by us with the balance being passed on to you. All payments are handled
automatically by standing order to reduce hassle.
If you wish to rent a space:
A security deposit is payable which is equal
to five
weeks rent however this will be returned to you provided any access
equipment (remote control, swipe card etc) supplied is returned in good
condition and working order at the end of the
rental period and that the space has not been damaged in any way. No
interest will be paid on the deposit held and can not be used in any way
to pay for your rental charges. |

|
| Q: |
What is the notice period? |
| |
|
| A: |
The notice period varies
from space to space and further details are supplied on the listings
page. In some situations,
it may be be beneficial for both parties to have short notice periods
(one week or more) to maintain flexibility in case circumstances change.
If you are selling an apartment, a notice period of month for anyone
renting a parking space would be ideal in case the apartment is sold.
With new spaces becoming available all the time, the person renting the
space needn't fear
having nowhere to park their car. |

| Q: |
My tenancy agreement says
"no subletting" but I'm not using my parking space, what can I do? |
| |
|
| A: |
In many cases, it is
possible to grant a license to use your car parking and not strictly
violate the terms of your tenancy agreement. Normally, provided you get
the landlord's permission, it is possible to rent out your space.
However, it has been known for tenants to rent out their space without
seeking the appropriate permissions or adhering to the terms of their
tenancy agreement; while City Centre Parking can not condone this, the
ultimate responsibility lies with the person named in the tenancy
agreement to make the decision after weighing up the pros and cons. We
are happy to discuss this openly with you and aim to give you an honest
account of all factors involved. |

|
| Q: |
If we take more than one
space can we get a discount? |
| |
|
| A: |
The vast majority of
parking spaces we manage are owned by different individuals and
companies with whom we have agreed set levels of income. Our revenue is
derived from a small percentage of this figure and leaves little room
for discounting. You will find however, that our prices are very
competitive when compared with other providers of contract parking in
less secure, public-access car parks. |
| |
|
| Q: |
Is VAT payable on top of
your prices? |
| |
|
| A: |
The price you see if the
price you pay. VAT is currently not applicable on our parking space
prices. |
| |
|
| Q: |
I've seen a space that
I'm interested in but I don't need it just yet, can you hold the space
for me? |
| |
|
| A: |
Yes, we can often hold spaces for
up to three weeks provided you have signed the agreement forms and paid
your deposit in advance. If you are relocating to a new area and can
give advance notice we should be in a position to find you a parking
space. The best thing to do is register your details with us using the
link above; this will provide us with the information we need to help
you. |
